Re: Hafod Eryri gets a Roof

This is a vast improvement on the previous building; many congratulations to both designers and contractors on such a sensitive project and awkward location. But the effect will, should be, to attract even more visitors to Snowdon summit. Even now the railway lacks adequate capacity. That willl now get worse and the railway cannot be expanded. I suggest a link in the other direction, with the new Welsh Highland Railway, probably at Rydd-Ddu, using a cable car would be the answer. In Lucerne on Pilatus they have both rack railway and cable car, also from opposite sides of the mountain and it works splendidly. Peregrine Arkwright
