Re: Two Fine Days don't Make a Summer
by Steve Johnson
Once again we walked up the summit to see work progressing, on Monday afternoon. We were walking up the South Ridge when the RAF Rescue helicopter appeared in order to rescue someone from just above us, a couple of hundred yards below the summit. It was very gratifying to see two members of your summit team heading down the mountain to see if they could assist in the incident, one with a First Aid kit, I think. I spoke to one your team on his way back up to the summit and passed on my best wishes to the team for your brilliant work at the summit construction site. I have photographs of the rescue helicopter in action if anyone wants copies. I hope the person who needed rescuing is recovering well. Once again, good luck and best wishes to everyone up there working!
